its all over linkedin...i know it's mainstream to use LLMs for content now, but how do we feel about losing original voice/tone entirely?
@Airbnb@bchesky , sir -- you will have several interior design junkies swarm to this, if you get any nancy meyers home on here. Start with parent trap!
@pitdesi@thisiskp_ I found that there was a fair bit of cash usage in Singapore when I lived there 2017-2019. Especially in hawker stands -- few mobile players (grabpay, eNETS) existed but cash was prominent compared to India/China
@pitdesi Your points and 1 & 3 are pretty telling and scary. We turn into two parallel credit societies - one for high income and another for low income.
@joncoffey the card launched first aimed at parents, so the cash back program is built around the parents.
the teen launch is its expansion specifically on being able to build credit as auth users.
@sachinrekhi I think your point on unequal incomes is where my mind is at too. I'd be curious whether this model is consistent across the country or across job industries. Would imagine this being this model working for a couple where both work in tech.
@sarthakgh feels like it required that there be multiple competing creator platforms for this to finally emerge. instagram losing creators and realized the value of an "open" platform?
@dadiomov@thogge@CalebLJenkins I actually think MAS in Singapore did this / is doing this across the region - Singapore with Malaysia, Thailand. Itβs beautiful
@dadiomov also reminds me of the workplace...how do you preserve agency at a company to do and to create opportunity, but also not create distractions?
@dadiomov curious how/why you chanced upon this -- its a 2021 piece! glad you did and shared though. i think about this often and subconscious worry that my little one will get lost in the doldrum of school / activities but actually doing very little.
@mengxi this was & is the premise of microloans in emerging markets -- providing small dollar loans to credit invisible, and then using the phone as a tool to ensure payments are made / minimize delinquencies. agree, this is incredible.

I drop off my toddler at school everyday with an inherent trust in the world around me. Iβm reminded everyday that I shouldnβt be so blind to our reality and essentially that I need to trust less.
Probably the most powerful metaphor not just for hiring but also building a career. Orienting yourself on just GSD Γ la "a barrel" can get you so far within an organization.
1. Barrels and ammunition
I didnβt overlap with @KeithRabois at @Square, but when I joined, his precepts were (and still are) all over the company. One of the most powerful metaphors - not least because of the vivid imagery - was that of barrels and ammunition.
@pitdesi this is fascinating. not causation, for sure but seems like figuring out healthcare access actually can have impact on credit access. who is working on this?
@BShen7@CashApp This is great @BShen7 - I find that of all the banking constructs (store spend borrow save), save is the hardest one to move the needle on behaviorally
