Hey @united me and all the other Delta Diamonds are ready to switch.
Do you have a one time status match to offer? Easiest market share move in history.
Let us know.
I have flown Delta nearly exclusively for 30 years. I overlooked their blatant DEI/woke stuff. Initially, they had Internet when most didn't. Now their Internet system is laborious and dated. Their refusal to have the best with Starlink is not the Delta that I know. The latest remarks by the CEO are arrogant. This Platinum flyer will reconsider. @Delta
Today’s revelations about the Jack Smith lawfare operation are even worse than we imagined. They confirm that lawfare cannot be fought case by case, defendant by defendant, after the machinery is already in motion. It has to be confronted institutionally, strategically, and across the entire battlefield.
Russiagate remains the quintessential lawfare operation because it was the first time all of the elements came together at once: an effort to reverse the democratic outcome, a totally fabricated narrative, politically aligned nonprofit organizations, the weaponization of government power and authority, media collusion, and the targeting not only of President Trump but of his associates, people only loosely connected to him, and anyone else who could be dragged into the operation.
But the Jack Smith lawfare operation was, in many ways, far worse because it took all of those elements and multiplied them. It was vastly more sweeping, involved far more people, reached beyond associates or even loosely connected figures to ordinary Americans, invoked far more criminal laws, and involved abuses of government power on a vastly greater scale.
They will try again, and next time they will be even less constrained. We have a very small window now to build the institutions, research infrastructure, strategic framework, and legal capacity needed to ensure they never again get another free run like this.
The absolute worst thing about opening this app is spotting a banger tweet for 0.2 seconds before the feed auto-refreshes and sends it straight into the void.
Gone forever.
@davidpattersonx AI doesn’t need to be power seeking in order to do incredible damage. All it needs is misaligned objectives. Witness the Hugging Face incident.
@dotkrueger Rates may be higher, but there no way that inflation will be anything approaching the 70s. Technological deflation combined with AI and robots causing mass unemployment make that impossible.
Rumi was absolutely fucking right, and you can literally get luckier by relaxing & believing everything is rigged in ur favor, you're lucky, and everything will somehow be taken care of.
The only downside is that u won't get others sympathy which u get by believing otherwise.
Hey @Delta, I’m on another one of your flights and your WiFi is atrocious. It is time to move to @Starlink or you are going to lose this Diamond medallion million miler. There is nothing more frustrating than attempting to get some work done flying with you.
You say you are dominant. Fine. Can you remain regulated enough to hold another person when she becomes dysregulated and blames you for it, or does her emotional state immediately control yours?
You say you are submissive. Fine. Can you truly surrender to something ugly but truthful or when you genuinely cannot change an outcome, even one that reflects poorly on you? Or have you merely learned to perform submission while covertly retaining control or maintaining your grip?
You say you value radical honesty. Can you hear something about yourself that contradicts your preferred identity narrative without collapsing, dissociating or attacking the messenger?
You say you have integrated your shadow. Can you recognize the beast when Circe points to it?
You say you have dealt with your past. Can you even now sit with the dead in Hades without allowing them to control your decisions or borrow your vitality?
You say you honor your agreements. Can you remember who you are and what you chose when the lotus makes forgetting feel wonderful or the Sirens make abandoning the journey feel like truth?
You say that you have become capable of love. Can you allow someone to know the thing you are most ashamed of without manufacturing enough distance to prevent them from meeting you there?
These ⬆️ are your bows. Can you string your bow?
If not, then HUMILITY is what allows reality to revise the identity to which you unjustifiably cling. Until we reconcile to truth, especially truth about ourselves—our own capabilities and limitations and past—shadow controls. And we cannot reconcile to painful truths—we CANNOT—without HUMILITY.
This is why humility is so important. It is the only way to integration. Humility requires us to face the shame of being inadequate. It requires us to grieve the loss of something incredibly dear. Such is the price of integration. And paying that price, rather than denying it or avoiding it, makes something precious available to us. Home.
In the Odyssey, Ithaca represents identity as expressed through commitment, agreement and duty.
The Trojan Horse symbolizes the shameful past that can never be overcome, only honestly faced and owned.
Hades then is our unintegrated shame, grief, and history—all the things that make who we are painful enough that some parts of us want to flee or hide from it.
Home is the integration of truth, identity, and relationship that allows us to inhabit our commitments, honor our agreements and do our duty without hiding from what they make us feel.
The bow is where the rubber meets the road. Put up or shut up. The bow is reality’s test of whether our integration is real or merely claimed or performed.
We cannot simply declare ourselves home. We first have to descend into Hades (shadow work), face the past and reclaim our exiled parts. We have to discover our beast, meet the shades, hear the Sirens, and learn both to bind ourselves to the mast when doing so is necessary to preserve our chosen identity, and to surrender to truth, even especially shameful truth, for the same reason.
Know your Ithaca. Know what you want to be and what you’re presently capable of being. And reconcile those two things, painful though it might be to do so.
Know the people you have chosen to love, the promises you have made, the agreements you have entered, the obligations you have accepted, and the duties that accompany the roles you have chosen. Do not confuse every fluctuation in desire or enthusiasm with a revelation that your commitments were misplaced. Sometimes desire reveals truth. Sometimes it reveals shadow. Sometimes it is simply lotus.
Descend into Hades when necessary. Meet the dead things that are still living off of your vitality. Feel the grief you have converted into activity or avoidance, and the shame you have converted into distance. Stop asking the people you love today to pay debts created by people who hurt you years ago. Stop expecting a new Kingdom to cure wounds you insist upon clinging to.
Let Circe reveal the beast without either denying it or handing it control. Hear the Sirens without obeying them. Contain yourself when the part of you that remembers the whole must protect a commitment from the part of you temporarily consumed by contrary desire, fear, shame, grief or exhaustion. And when control itself has become the mechanism of avoidance, surrender it to the sea.
Remember Ithaca throughout all of it. Remember that Ithaca is not merely a destination or something you happen to want. It is the identity you are capable of and have chosen to remain faithful to, made concrete through love, commitment, agreement, obligation, and duty.
Then come home. Become sufficiently integrated that truth, identity, and relationship no longer have to be kept apart. Become capable of allowing the people you love to actually know you, including the parts you once believed would make love impossible. Become capable of receiving love rather than endlessly manufacturing ways of subverting it.
And finally, string your bow. Do not tell us who you are. Show us.
You are missing the point and moving the goal post. The 4% income tax that I pay on exported services amounts to two to four times the median annual income in Puerto Rico. Said another way, I alone pay pay the annual salary for fully two to four Puerto Rican civil servants each year. Were I not here under the tax incentives program, Puerto Rico would get NONE of that revenue. Either those people would lose their jobs, or Puerto Rico’s unsustainable deficits would be even higher. True, I pay zero tax on most capital gains, but that would also be true if I were living in another state. In other words, me moving here under the tax incentives program has been overwhelming positive for Puerto Rico’s tax base and for Puerto Ricans. And that’s before we include all the sales tax I pay, the jobs I’ve brought here or created here, etc. Contrary to your statement, the 4% rate on exported services is available to local native-born Puerto Ricans on more or less the same terms as expats. So, if a local Puerto Rican exported the same services, and if they had applied for an been granted a decree, they would pay the same rate that I pay, not 33% as you suggested. And no, I’m not competing with local Puerto Rico CPAs for export services. I don’t do the type of work that they do. So I have now demonstrated that my presence here economically benefits Puerto Rico, economically benefits Puerto Ricans, doesn’t compete with local PR professionals and (except for capital gains taxes) doesn’t put me on unequal footing versus local born Puerto Ricans. So…what else you got?
