True cultural resilience isn't just about surviving, it’s about absorbing...
Yoruba culture never shrunk under history's pressure, it globalized itself.
It doesn’t shrink, it swallows, it doesn’t fade, it dominates and subverts.
While other cultures adapt to survive, Yoruba culture absorbs.
It conquers oppression, colonizes the mainstream, and gives the world its rhythm.
Yoruba culture does not bend to history. It absorbs its surroundings, dictates the rhythm for all to follow.

My Latest Article on Substack: The Binary of Orunmila: Ifá, Computing and the Geopolitics of African Knowledge
Ifá is not a computer. But it proves Africans built formal binary systems for storing knowledge, and that matters for Africa's place in the age of AI.

Yorubas in Benin republic really have it good sha.
The blessing of not having ibos in your country to choke your space and be fighting you over your culture🤌🏾
I think the auto Gele trend contributed to the reason why Ibos are trying to claim Gele…
Look at all the childhood Gele? They were classic and real elaborate the way it was always done.
Ibos see Yoruba women switching to auto Gele and they quickly tryna claim the classic one for themselves since it’s been abandoned.
Sometimes, you don’t have a confidence problem. You have a habit of measuring your worth by how useful you are to other people.
You feel guilty resting… You struggle to say no, you keep showing up for people who rarely show up for you and when nobody needs anything from you, you feel strangely insignificant.
People that live in the state of nature can’t have uncles to rely on!
Your society is like what Thomas Hobbs described in “The State Of Nature”; Nasty, Brutal, Rough and short”.
You can’t live in that kind of Society and have uncles to rely on..
The first republic was actually insane. NCNC and NPC got power and their first port of call was dividing the western region which was more homogenous than both the North and East. Hilarious, these were insane human beings. 🤣
Hello,
My latest novel The Gele Gang will be available in February 2027.
It is the first of my post-lockdown novels. Inspired by Nigerian weddings I attended, it looks and feels like lime sorbet. It's light, sweet and tart, and cleansed my palate for my next course.

IS THE IGBO IDEOLOGY OF LIVING SPACE/LEBENSRAUM A NAZI IDEOLOGY?
As someone who speaks a level of German language, who lived in Germany and who studied Nazi Germany history and also read Awolowo’s autobiography, I must admit that it will take the grace of the almighty for another civil war not to happen in Nigeria because of the political and social ideology from the South East which they have branded as patriotism or better still “one Nigeria”.
Chief Obafemi Awolowo was the first person who properly elucidated the politics and ideology of the NCNC Igbo nationalist party as a form of Herenvolk political movement or simply put “Herenvolkism” which was an ethnic supremacist project built on ethnic exceptionalism.
Let’s go back to the words being used by the speakers in the video below. The speakers used the term “Living space” multiple times in order to describe the political and social ideology that drives the Igbo’s orientation about Nigeria. In German we call “Living space” as “Lebensraum.
The term living space or “Lebensraum was coined by German geographer and nationalist called Friedrich Ratzel in 1901 in order to use Charles Darwin racist evolution theories to justify social Darwinism, imperialism and how this theories can be used by Westphalian states to justify imperialism and colonialism. He argued that a healthy and growing nation needs more natural resources and lands in order to thrive and survive.
This ideology was what motivated the Germans to orchestrate the First World War and to justify the Eastward expansion of Nazi Germany into Slavic lands in order to displace and replace the indigenous people as a means of obtaining “Living space” in German language “Lebensraum “.
This ideology of living space was what gave the imperial German forces the will and faux morality to annihilate 90 percent of the Herero population of Namibia in order to steal the land. The irony is that most of the lands in Namibia today is controlled and owned by the German population of Namibia who were descendants of those who organised the “Living space “ campaigns that wiped out the Herero population.
It makes sense that Azikwe wanted to rule Yoruba people instead of Igbos even thought he was born in Zungeru and why he threatened the Yoruba intellectuals with treason petitions when they asked for true federalism, option of self determination and confederacy in colonial Nigeria because that would have stopped his people from actualising his “Lebensraum or Living space” ideology in Nigeria.
It is not a surprise that Professor Moghalu came out some time again to advocate for Ataturk Kemal’s method of nation building for Nigeria meanwhile Adolf Hitler used Kemal as a role model in his formulation and institutionalisation of his Nazi ideology.
The question is why are Igbo intellectuals of the past 100 years adopting and supporting imperial and Nazi Germany ideology in Nigeria? Is that the reason why they believe Lagos is no man’s land? Is that why they openly advocate for the eradication of indigenous rights in Nigeria as recent as the 2014 confab and under Ben Kalu the deputy speaker of the House of Representatives ???
No form of pacifism will ever stop an ideology that believes in seeking living space. It can only be solved via equal and proper resistance. The living space ideology is not just an Igbo issue, it is also a Fulani nationalist manifesto problem which was why they requested for RUGA and cattle colony under Buhari across non Fulani territories in Nigeria or else sedentary farmers and population in Nigeria will not know peace.
Is the Igbo ideology of Living space a Nazi ideology?
Let history be our judge.
Yorubas, see their level of hatred for us.
They are bent on destroying our image, and we must be ready to destroy their image too.
Again, show no mercy to them because they don't deserve it.

In many Yoruba homes, respect is taught before a child is old enough to understand it but respect and silence are not the same thing…
An elder can deserve respect and still be wrong and a younger person can disagree without being disrespectful.
