Don't also forget your scanned pdf must be searchable. So ensure your scanner(whether mobile or desktop) has OCR(text recognition) enabled otherwise you may waste time scanning thousands of pages for nothing, the court will reject it if it's not searchable.

Please if you are not scanning yourself, ensure you supervise the support staff helping you to do the bulk scanning.

Make sure it's very clear and make sure they enable OCR. Supreme Court is very strict with the directive. Imagine you getting a date for Hearing and what will further delay you for more years is scanning issue. Pay attention to them. This is a premium advice.

There has long been some uncertainty among legal practitioners as to whether, in a criminal appeal, an Appellant is required to include his co-accused as a Respondent in the Notice of Appeal. I have personally grappled with this question. When I sought the views of colleagues, I received divergent opinions, reflecting the lack of consensus on the issue.

Happy 57th priestly ordination anniversary to Cardinal John Onaiyekan!

Cardinal John Olorunfemi Onaiyekan was ordained a priest in 1969 at the age of 25.

In 1982, 13 years after his priestly ordination, Pope St. John Paul II appointed him Titular Bishop of Thunusuda and Auxiliary Bishop of Ilorin at the age of 38. He was ordained a bishop on 6 January 1983.

In 1984, he was appointed the Bishop of Ilorin at the age of 40.

In 1990, he was appointed Coadjutor Bishop of Abuja at the age of 46, and in 1992, he succeeded as Bishop of Abuja at the age of 48.

In 1994, following the establishment of Abuja as a Metropolitan See, he became the first Archbishop of Abuja at the age of 50.

From 1999 to 2006, he served as President of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Nigeria (CBCN).

In 2012, Pope Benedict XVI created him a Cardinal at the age of 68.

On November 9, 2019, he retired as the Archbishop of Abuja, Nigeria after reaching the canonical retirement age of 75.

Cardinal John Onaiyekan has remained one of the most respected voices of the Catholic Church in Africa, distinguished by his commitment to the Gospel, justice, peace, interreligious dialogue, good governance, and the common good. May God continue to bless and strengthen him.
