LESSON 2/8 — Tiered model routing beats one-model-for-everything

The reflex: route everything through it.

Don't.

A better model raises the ceiling on your reasoning step. It does nothing for extraction and cleanup — except cost more.

Swap it in where judgement lives. Leave the cheap model on the grunt work.

New models test whether you own your stack, or it owns you.
