The International Human Rights Foundation (IHRF) has obtained photographic evidence confirming that Pakistani forces shelled areas near the Durand Line in Paktia province at approximately 7:00 PM local time.

The attack deliberately targeted non-combatant civilians in the Patan district vicinity. The result is an undeniable tragedy:

• 16 civilians injured
• 4 civilians killed, including two children

This is not a border skirmish; it is a direct violation of international humanitarian law. The IHRF condemns the targeting of civilian life in the strongest terms.

We demand an immediate cessation of cross-border shelling and a transparent investigation to hold those responsible accountable.
