AR Rahman could have used the Sanskrit words ‘Maa Tujhe Pranaam’ in his hit song, Vande Mataram - to respect the indigenous identity of this land, as well as the spiritual science of Sanskrit that westerners are now paying to learn.

Instead he chose to use the word, Salaam - a distortion of the true vibration which has echoed in this land since the times of the Rishis.
