The Hon’ble Punjab & Haryana High Court has recorded the statement made by the learned Counsel appearing for the Department that the necessary orders regarding the extension are likely to be passed by tomorrow, and a copy of the same shall be placed before the Court.

It was further confirmed that the matter is presently under active consideration of the CBDT, and in all probability, the requisite notification/order is expected to be issued by tomorrow

In the Gujarat HC judgment (SCA No.15075/2015)

‘CBDT shall henceforth ensure that ITR utilities are ordinarily available on April 1 of the AY.’

CBDT never followed this court order since 10 years. Isn’t this amounts to contempt?
