The status has been stuck at “Police Verification Report under review” for 15+ days with no update. After finally getting through to RPO Mumbai, I was told the issue is that my wife’s surname is different from my son’s.

If this is genuinely the reason for holding up a 2-month-old infant’s passport, it is extremely frustrating. I have been asked to visit RPO Mumbai with an appointment, but the earliest available appointment is 30 October.

I cannot wait that long. I need to travel for my brother’s wedding, and I need my son’s passport to apply for his visa and arrange travel.

Requesting @rpomumbai and @MEAIndia to kindly look into this urgently and help resolve the application or provide an earlier appointment within first half of October. A 2-month-old child’s passport should not be delayed for weeks without a clear resolution.

@airtelindia Ive been facing constant broadband connectivity issues in my area in Bangalore with no resolution from your side for the past 24 hrs. This is abysmal service from a company the size of Airtel. None of your representatives are reachable. Need a resolution ASAP
