Within the next couple of decades Global Warming is going to go from being a big problem to making large parts of the world where billions of people live unlivable.
It will lead to mass migration on an unbelievable scale and widespread famine.
We need to act NOW.
Nature protects us every day. It is time we protect it too 🌱🇮🇳
India’s efforts towards climate action and sustainability highlight a shared commitment to preserving the future through conservation, cleaner choices, and meaningful action. @Oxygen_Token From 50 species to 17. The mountains were their last refuge and climate change took that too. Indigenous wisdom understood these balances for centuries. We ignored it. 🌿
@UNGeneva@antonioguterres The roadmap already exists 🌾 Indigenous ecological knowledge, traditional species for soil health. Not relics, survival strategies we need NOW 💚
We need to hold the government to its promise: no new oil and gas in UK seas! 🛑 Big Oil is pushing for more drilling, but it causes toxic spills and harms marine life—all without lowering our bills. Let's protect our ocean. Sign the petition: https://t.co/oioDrLw3Ru @38degrees
Since 2020, Germany has added 14 gigawatts of wind capacity, but annual electricity output has stayed around 106 terawatt-hours.
More turbines, no more electricity.
Die Welt says the system is hitting reality: weak winds, grid bottlenecks, and poor inland sites, with some turbines actually shading (or blocking) others.
Then solar joins the mess.
On sunny days, solar floods the grid, so wind gets curtailed. At peak output, solar gets curtailed, too.
Too much power at the wrong time.
Then evening arrives, or thick cloud rolls in, and solar collapses. So gas and coal step back in to save the lights from going out.
Fossil fuels come to Germany's rescue every evening.
Billions of dollars spent on more hardware.
But output has remained flat.
@UNEP The planet has been speaking 🌍 Indigenous wisdom told us this long before the ice started melting at this rate. We need real action, not just hashtags.
Today, Murray Watt informed the Tasmanian Government that he will gazette a bilateral agreement with Tasmania to allow ongoing logging destruction. This is not what the community wants. Australians want native forests protected. #politas

Scientists warn Earth could exceed a key global warming target within a decade.
But there’s hope: a new UNEP brief finds that emerging climate-friendly technologies, which are nearing tipping points, could help cut emissions driving global warming.

Climate: 80% likelihood of an El Niño event during June–August 2026, @WMO Chief tells journalists at @UNGeneva.
Emerging El Niño conditions are likely to shift global temperatures & rainfall, increasing the risk of extreme weather over the coming months.
