#NutritionSecurity goes beyond food security, by considering peopleโs access to essential nutrients, not just calories.
Learners belonging to #AgroecologyClubs have established agroecological gardens, that play a key role in improving nutrition security in schools. This has been realized through enabling learnersโ access to balanced diets, thereby enhancing their health, energy and enthusiasm for school.

A recent report by the @FAO warns that unless urgent action is taken, climate change is pushing our food systems to the brink, disrupting harvests across the world.
Thatโs where agroecology offers a path forward. Small-scale farmers from Serere district are already adopting agroecological practices such as organic compost use to rebuild soil health, hence restoring the landโs natural ability to cope with climate stress and reduce greenhouse gas emissions from synthetic inputs.

Most garden pest problems do not require spraying at all. In most cases, all they need is an early response and the right interventions. Integrated pest management practices such as crop rotation, removal of infected plants and the careful use of bio-pesticides should always be applied. Staking and pruning are also important practices that improve plant structure and increase productivity.

#PauseForPurpose | @akutui, @ESAFFUG, emphasised the need for the @_AfricanUnion Convention on Ending Violence Against Women and Girls (AU-CEVAWG) to intentionally address the unique realities faced by persons with disabilities.
Her remarks underscored that continental frameworks must go beyond general protections by incorporating tailored responses that recognise intersecting vulnerabilities experienced by women and girls with disabilities across rural and agricultural communities. ๐ฑ

Food grown with heavy chemical pesticides and synthetic fertilizers may look perfect, but it can come at a cost, with long-term exposure linked to NCDs such as cancer.
Use #Biofertilizers#Biopesticides. Natural inputs like animal and plant waste, compost manure, bokashi, and green manure donโt just feed crops. They rejuvenate soils, protect biodiversity, and enhance your wellbeing

The engagement strengthened the advocacy and networking skills of district FFS leaders, empowering them to engage more effectively with district local governments, extension systems, and multi-stakeholder platforms.
Through this effort, small-scale farmers are better positioned to influence decisions, drive change, and lead sustainable solutions within their communitiesโanchored in a broader movement for learning, collaboration, and resilient food systems.

@AnitahAmong during the closing ceremony noted that the question on Pastoralism cannot be complete without one talking about the role of women because they derive value in each and every product from the livestock @APWG
Day 2 moved us from articulation to accountability, embedding these demands into binding commitments within the Charter.

We must use our numbers and unity to protect our land. Investors often take advantage of small, divided communities but when we stand together and assert ownership, our voices become stronger and harder to ignore.
