Change Starts With You - His Holiness the Dalai Lama says change starts from the individual. One person makes the effort, then another — reaching 10, 100, 1,000, 10 million. That's the way to change. Video originally recorded on March 9, 2016.
Kylian Mbappé in 2020: “Me and my friends, we did not hope to become footballers. We did not expect. We did not plan. We dreamed. There is a difference. Some children have posters of superheroes on their bedroom walls. We covered ours with footballers. I had so many posters of Zidane and Cristiano. (To be fair, when I got older, I also had some posters of Neymar, which he finds very funny, but that’s another story!)
Sometimes people ask me why there is so much talent coming from our neighborhoods. Like maybe there is something in the water, or we are training in a different way, like Barcelona or something. But no, if you came to AS Bondy, I’m afraid you would just see a humble family club. Some apartment buildings and some artificial grass. But I think that football is just different for us. It is essential. It is every day. It is like bread and water.
I remember we had this tournament at our school — all the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th graders — and it was like our World Cup. We were playing for this €2 plastic trophy, but we treated it like it was life or death. In the 93, your honor is always at stake. And it’s funny, because the rule was that every team had to be mixed. Girls and boys. Well, unfortunately not all the girls wanted to play in the tournament, so we had to really negotiate. I remember telling my friend that if she gave everything on the pitch and we won the Cup, I would buy her a new coloring book. I was begging her.
Maybe you think I’m exaggerating, but it really meant everything to us. As we say, ‘This is the Neuf Trois. We can’t lose.’
We played for this €2 trophy like it was the Jules Rimet Trophy. That’s just how it was. I’m sure it was quite difficult for my teachers. To them, I really apologize. I remember coming home from school one day with nine different warnings from the principal.
‘Kylian did not do his homework.’
‘Kylian forgot his school supplies.’
‘Kylian was talking about football during mathematics.’
My head was in the clouds.” https://t.co/ALAFEDEo2E

Gavin Baker @GavinSBaker: this AI cycle can't overbuild like 1999.
The reason is physical, not financial. In the dot-com bust you could always order more fiber. In 2026 you cannot conjure watts or advanced wafers. TSMC dismissed Sam Altman as a "podcast bro" and expands at its own pace, no matter how hard hyperscalers beg. That caps the buildout before a glut can form.
Louis Gave @gave_vincent pushes the other way, warning of an AI capex hangover once demand cools.
If Baker is right, $NVDA and TSMC get a multi-year demand tailwind with no inventory glut to break it.

Dvedhavitakka Sutta - Guarding the Mind ☸️
In the Dvedhavitakka Sutta (MN 19) of the Majjhima Nikaya scripture in the Pali Canon, The Buddha reveals a simple yet deep practice that He cultivated before His enlightenment.
He divided His thoughts into two kinds.
1) Thoughts rooted in sensual desire, ill will, and harmfulness were recognized as leading to suffering - for oneself and for others.
2) Thoughts rooted in renunciation, loving-kindness, and harmlessness were seen as leading towards wisdom, peace, and liberation.
Then The Buddha offered a timeless insight:
"Whatever a person frequently thinks and ponders upon, that becomes the inclination of the mind."
This teaching feels remarkably relevant today.
Every headline, every conversation, every social media feed plants seeds within the mind. Whatever is watered daily gradually becomes our character.
The mind is like a garden.
We cannot prevent every seed from falling upon it, but we can choose which ones to nourish.
The Dvedhavitakka Sutta reminds us that awakening does not begin with changing the world.
It begins with observing our thoughts, abandoning those that lead to suffering, and cultivating those that lead to compassion, clarity, and peace.
Sometimes the path to liberation begins with a single wholesome thought. 🙏

I advise all Aston Villa and Newcastle to watch this.
The rules are not unfair. The rules are not in place to benefit the ‘big 6’.
#THFC can spend money because the club has been set up to be a sustainable financial powerhouse. Simple as. 💰
