BRD SHT is available now. Favorite album I’ve ever made. RIYL: ‘90s Drag City, ‘70s car chase soundtrack, 2010s basement with leaky water heater, bumper music for ESPN 2 when they had the chicken scratch logo, Modest Mouse
Goodbye to Bob Weir. I’m guessing many Dead fans are like I was, where you pay much more attention to Jerry first. But Weir, esp early on, was one of the weirdest and most interesting rhythm guitar players ever, and a great songwriter.
Spent today writing a bit about Rob Reiner, out eventually; the best tribute I can think of, in the meantime, lies here, from one ball knower to another https://t.co/LXoNrora2h
Kaleb was quietly one of the best music writers of his generation. His blurbs on X and The Minutemen from this 110 Best LA Albums list we did were basically perfect.
He deserved so much more from this industry than he received. What a terrible loss.

The most electric phone acting ever committed to film. Redford was probably underestimated because of his looks, but he was a goddamn movie star. What a giant, what a loss.
@SeanFennessey@TheBigPic I am just so hyped on all the Altman stuff you are involved with upcoming. Fav director of all time and doesn’t get talked about nearly enough IMO. Thank you for championing
RIP Brian Wilson. Words fail me. One of the greatest artists of my lifetime in any medium. In terms of rock songwriting, he's on the extremely shortlist of all-time greats. Ditto production. So many beautiful songs but this one kills me the most.
