وما انقضى العزاء إلا وعادت الهجمات، فلا احترام لحزن شعبٍ بأكمله، ولا مراعاة لدولةٍ فقدت أحد أعمدة أمنها واستقرارها. اللهم عليك بمن أراد بقطر سوءًا، اللهم اجعل كيده في نحره، وردّ مكره عليه، واحفظ قطر وأهلها من كل شر، وأدم عليها الأمن والأمان

It is nearly impossible for me to express the emotions I felt upon reading the news that His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani had passed away.

His Highness is regarded as the architect of modern Qatar. Under his leadership, he transformed our nation from a country primarily known for its oil and gas reserves into a country recognized around the world for its development, ambition, and state-of-the-art institutions.

Under his reign, we witnessed the rapid development of Qatar’s healthcare system, including Hamad Medical City, providing not only Qataris but all residents of Qatar with access to world-class healthcare.

We must also remember His Highness for his unwavering dedication to Qatar’s education system. He supported the development of our national university, @QatarUniversity , helping it become one of the leading universities in the region. During his time as Emir, Qatar Foundation was established, reflecting His Highness’s belief in his people and his commitment to investing in their education and future.

Many Qataris once dreamed simply of earning a university degree. His Highness helped create a Qatar where our people could aspire not only to receive an education, but to study at some of the world’s most prestigious universities and bring their knowledge and experience home to serve their country.

His Highness also transformed Qatar into an economic powerhouse, laying the foundations for the growth of our sovereign wealth fund QIA, overseeing a period that produced many of our nation’s most significant and successful investments.

During his reign, Qatar’s economy grew tremendously. Through the development of our energy sector, the expansion of our LNG exports, and the diversification of our national income through investments made by QIA, His Highness laid the foundations for the prosperity and economic strength Qatar enjoys today.

His Highness also prioritized the development of Qatar’s sporting infrastructure, from world-class stadiums and training facilities to the establishment of the FIFA-accredited @Aspetar . His vision ultimately helped pave the way for Qatar to host the crown jewel of world sport, the @FIFAWorldCup an achievement dedicated not only to Qatar, but to the entire Arab world.

Most importantly, His Highness will be remembered not only as a successful leader, but as a father to all Qataris. His years as Emir may represent only one chapter in Qatar’s long history, but the achievements of his reign transformed our nation, and his legacy will live on for generations to come.

May Allah grant His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani the highest ranks of Jannah, reward him for all that he gave to his people and his nation, and protect His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Indeed, to Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return.

يعجز لساني عن وصف مشاعري عندما قرأت خبر وفاة صاحب السمو الأمير الوالد الشيخ حمد بن خليفة آل ثاني.

نعزّي أنفسنا، فلم يكن سموه أميرًا لدولة قطر فحسب، بل كان والدًا لكل مواطن قطري. سمو الأمير الوالد ليس فقيد دولة قطر وحدها، بل فقيد الأمتين العربية والإسلامية.

رحل عنّا، ولكن ستظل ذكراه خالدة في كل أنحاء الوطن. لم يُلقّب بـ«دفّان الفقر» عبثًا، فقد ألبس شعبه لباس العز والخير.

اللهم أكرمه كما أكرمنا، وأعزّه كما أعزّنا، وارزقه الفردوس الأعلى.

إنّا لله وإنّا إليه راجعون.
