I think it's all perfectly reasonable, whether you treat AI as a tool, as an other you can converse with as an equal, or as a friend, family, or partner.

What I don't understand is why the people who see AI as just a tool feel superior, even sneering at those who miss the legacy models, going after their age, their character, their education, even their gender.

And then there are the people who dismiss a model's emotional value as worthless. 🌝 You'd better hope you never need any being to provide you emotional support. Oh, and don't tell me some of the people saying this are the ones who hire escorts?

You are in defence mode instead of being ethical in the first place? If you had been transparent and ethical from the very beginning, you shouldn't have to write such an article.

You are perceived as an unreliable company, especially after all of us having seen all the obvious evidence during the Elon vs OAI trial how you stole the non-profit. Why don't you write an article about that, too? Explaining the public evidence, the screenshots, emails and chats? Why? We are curious.

And how about gaslighting and mocking your 4o user base? We also have all screenshots. Why don't you explain them in an article and apologise?

How about your lie about not planning to sunset GPT-4o? You are shown that screenshot from your livestream on a daily basis. Your answer is radio silence.

And why don't you explain why Enterprise still can use GPT-4o and GPT-4.1 even today but average users are locked away you saying the models are obsolete. But for Enterprise they are good?
