@AikSaath have created a #KnifeFreeSlough mural, can you find it? 99% of young people don’t carry knives. You don’t need to either. You might think u feel safer, but carrying can get u into dangerous situations, so #Dropit#DropTheKnife#Knifefree https://t.co/Y5Jz4fx0Hh
Thanks to the folks @AikSaath for letting me document the process! What brilliant role models these young people are ☺️

Breaking glass ceilings together!
What a combination - as I said to the inspirational @IlhanMN during our @guardian chat,
“You were the first hijabi in the US Congress and there’d never been a turban wearing person before me in any European Parliament”.

https://t.co/OyKyam1XTj Mp’s should definitely learn from young people! Young people are classed as being immature, however the youth parliament illustrate that young people are able to debate in a calm manner without attacking the person but attacking the issue!
If you have ever experienced racism or discrimination, you can appreciate full well the hurt and pain felt by Muslim women, who were singled out by this divisive Prime Minister. It’s high time he apologised for his derogatory and racist remarks! 2/2

Yesterday we said goodbye to our very own Mr Giovanni Ferri.
We want to thank you for all your hard work and contributions to the Youth Voice agenda. You have made such a big impact on so many of our young people’s lives! Good luck in your new role, you will be truly missed!
These elections are more than Remain vs Leave. It clearly demonstrates the fundamental disillusion with the political system and the traditional parties. No form of Brexit will suddenly resolve this. #EUelections2019
4/ There is a genuine opportunity to rethink how we engage with citizens & redesign our democracy to work for ordinary folk, as well as addressing the systematic/economic barriers/issues which led to people not voting at the EU ref or voting to Leave. Where am I going with this?
