@PodSaveAmerica aside from statehood for DC and PR to even out the senate a bit, what about a national voting law? Would love to hear from 2020 potentials. since there are more liberals than conservatives in the country if everyone had to vote...
@nprpolitics what is the history behind, and is there a rule stipulating that the senate majority leader gets to set the agenda? Seems crazy that currently ~0.25% of the population got to vote on the person who has complete control over what gets a vote.
On the topic of electability, would ranked choice voting help address the cognitive dissonance of liking someone more but voting for someone else #nprpoliticslive
i know it was locked by law in early 1900s but congress should be able to pass another law? Population has changed quite a bit in the last 100 years, and aside from EC changes, would provide better representation to citizens. Is there any initiative?
@danpfeiffer since the electoral college isn’t likely to go away, is expanding the # of reps in the house an option? increases the total electoral votes and concentrates them in areas of higher pop, so the popular vote could be more predictive.
@danpfeiffer @jonfavs i’ve been a steadfast progressive since before i could vote, but this resonates on a deep level. Curious on your thoughts, especially on the policy, especially since they are similar to HR1 for 2019 https://t.co/pe2RWtMawz
@danpfeiffer mobile digital voting should be a thing. It’s not even that hard. Require input of a SSN for identity, and disassociate the vote from the ssn for anon. Would satisfy the R voter ID nonsense too. Use a little DOD $ for cyber security; voting is national defense.
@jonfavs thoughts on doing a mini series of policy deep dives of dem positions? What is a jobs guarantee? how would it work compared to UBI and how do they compare to existing safety nets. Cover the much maligned debate bewteen single payer, universal, and public option, etc.
@SenGillibrand agree with the sentiment. Curious what solution(s) at the national, state, or local level the senator wants to propose or stand behind. Honest question seeking policy
@SlackHQ thanks for the quick reply! Is there a way to submit feature requests? This is something that has come up for my company a few times now. Feels like bulk selection => copy to new/existing channel wouldn't be too big a task, and super useful to keep noise down
@SlackHQ is there a good way to migrate a series of messages to a new channel? Channel topic got too big, and we want to move the conversation to a dedicated place, but don't want to lose the history/context

Maybe more of us have a talk in us than we realize.
