New aquatic invasive species (AIS) are continually arriving at our borders by air, water or land. Once introduced, these populations can grow quickly as they don’t have natural predators in their new environment.
The Confederacy of Mainland Mi’kmaq – Mi’kmaw Conservation Group (@Netukulimk) is using a Two-Eyed Seeing approach, combining Mi’kmaq Ecological Knowledge and western science to identify threats to multiple aquatic at risk species across #NS.
