In that CNN clip where Tom Friedman openly roots for Iran's military defeat but then says he doesn't want it to politically help Netanyahu or Trump—calling both 'two awful human beings' and 'terrible people'—he exposes his own twisted priorities. But the real horrible human being here is this left-leaning NYT elitist himself. Joined the New York Times in 1981, foreign-affairs columnist since 1995, spent decades pushing failed globalization fantasies while living off his wife Ann Bucksbaum's massive family fortune (heiress to the General Growth Properties shopping-mall empire, one of America's richest real-estate dynasties). They built an 11,400 sq ft mansion in Bethesda, MD, back in 2003.

Classic out-of-touch hypocrisy: Admitted on CNBC he supported the CAFTA trade deal without even reading it—just because it said 'free trade.' Loud cheerleader for the Iraq War (called it his 'personal crusade' to remake the Arab world and said he'd do it again), then flip-flopped and acted like it was someone else's mistake. All while preaching democracy and morality to the rest of us. NYT through and through—zero self-awareness, endless wrong predictions.

Not "Anti-China people." It is from a people who were maliciously attacked by Iran and its proxies. It is from a people who will no longer passively tolerate Iranian aggression against them. If China supports that regime by supplying war material to Iran it must bear responsibility. Israel and China have had years of cooperation. China is Israel's second largest trading partner, it operates the Haifa port, Chinese engineering firms have built major highways in Israel.
