Technically impressive yes but I know of very few young people who think AI is “cool” in the rock n’ roll sense which seems bad for a new tech attempting to intervene in every aspect of culture
Wishful thinking but I’d like to see more critical curiosity in the online discourse. Skeptical experimenting while acknowledging systemic problems. Less boosterism. More in-between
People on social media work themselves into rigid anti-AI (or pro-AI) positions, making it hard to publicly admit to any benefits (or harms)
I don’t think this matches peoples’ actual AI use which is somewhere between total refusal and enthusiastic adoption
Not anti AI art but I will say I can easily enter a 4+ hour flow state while painting that would never happen working with AI tools
The roulette aspect of prompting (which is part of its gambling-like appeal) frustrates each gesture from building toward a cohesive whole
