@PictureSporting A joy to watch. Glovework was exceptional, very agile, decent with the bat.
Kept us entertained between balls/overs with his stretching exercises.
Had a great understanding with Derek Underwood which was of great benefit to both Kent and England.

@80s90sfootball Walter Winterbottom - 16 years as England manager and under his leadership England qualified for the 1950, ‘54, ‘58 and ‘62 finals, reaching the quarter finals twice. Interestingly he didn’t have the power to pick his own team, this was done by selection committee.

@Albums200 Playing catch up here and have just listened to this. Solid sound and agree there is no real standout but Diamond was my favourite track followed by Wheels of Wonder and Healing at the Harbour. Worth a listen and will probably result in me listening to their other stuff.

@80s90sfootball Obdulio Varela captained the victorious Uruguayan side at the 1950 tournament when beating Brazil in the last match of a round robin. Played at the 1954 tournament at the age of 36, where he was, at the time, the oldest player to play at a World Cup. Uruguay lost in the semis.
