@GeraintThomas86 The difference is that Quickstep did try to use their numerical advantage and work Stannard over but failed. Visma just took Powless to the line assuming he would be out sprinted.

@RamonesKaraoke@_BCT_ We’d like to extend it next year so pippygs look attractive- although battery life may be an issue. The sites are only visited every 2 or 3 weeks.
Check out this new scientific study by @moorsforfuture & @derbyshirebats who have been searching for evidence of bats 🦇 foraging on #KinderScout.
Analysis of audio recordings placed over the summer months has revealed some exciting new findings...

@RamonesKaraoke@_BCT_@DerbysWildlife Can’t match LHS but did have a barb pass in the garden (twice) in 2020. Don’t take the batteries out of your pippyg over the winter - check out my winter bat survey results, I’d be very interested to see what you might find. On Scilly pips were out 93% of Feb nights in 2023!
Speckled bush-cricket in the garden today. Probably the little blighter that recorded thousands of files on my bat detector this summer! @DaNES_Insects @_BCT_@DerbysWildlife
What long legs you’ve got! Lapwing admiring the GW egret at Venus Pool yesterday. Supporting cast of 2 little egret, green sandpiper & a stonechat in the wonderful arable field.
@RamonesKaraoke@derbyshirebats Speckled b-c is around 35 kHz so it would have to be on call duration/ time between calls & that might risk filtering out interesting social calls. BTO pipeline finds & names them so only a problem if doing manual ID, which I often do. Nice to know they are in the garden though!
A nice little article about our joint @derbyshirebats & @moorsforfuture monitoring project. And yes there are bats at the top of Kinder Scout, the highest point in Derbyshire, on some nights, 6 species found so far. @_BCT_ https://t.co/ajvnUAO1nK
