@munster_gene doesn't anyone understand the concept of latency?
Once people realize there will be an annoying delay in their conversations no one will switch to Starlink moblile.
@charliebilello AMZN, MSFT, GOOG all have booked mark to market gain in their investments in Anthropic and SPCX as profit. No expenses with these gains so ups their margins. 87% of GOOG’s QTR 2 profits were from this accounting trick
@AndreasSteno "honest accounting from Alphabet?" check how much of their stated profit was mark-to-make-believe gains on investments in SPCX and Anthropic.
@gnoble79 Just wondering: Does anyone think SPCX tells those insiders, selling after the lock up, to use only limit orders, not market, and limit say $104, to keep price up?
@Mr_Derivatives Tesla robotaxi is far behind Waymo and Baidu Never to be profitable. Chinese robots more advanced. Car lineup tired and neglected. Marry at $250 and get jilted
@DougKass@TheStreetPro Thanks. Jensen Huang , in a moment of candor, 18 months ago said quantum computing is 2 decades away and then only for "limited data sets" . We'll see if Ms. Link still has her IBM position in 2046.
@DougKass@BeckyQuick@SquawkCNBC@andrewrsorkin I've waited to see if you would review Staphanie Link's defense of her IBM position after it's disastrous earnings She justified holding because of "it's lead in quantum computing " What a joke. how much quantum mechanics does she know?
@SaraEisen I find the claim of data centers employing 112,000 people unbelievable. Once constructed data center staffing is minimal. This must be counting persons constructing the centers who will not be employed when completed
@DougKass Cognitive dissonance: "I'm attacked, I'm going off X, and I'm not thin skinned. "
How can you tell if someone is not "thin skinned"? They don't even mention they've been attacked or criticized. It's ignored, they don't care.
@jimcramer As the price of tokens comes under pressure Open AI will struggle to be profitable. WHY on earth would a merger with a money loser make MSFT go up? Fuzzy thinking
@elonmusk Vague and probably dishonest by Tulsi Gabbard. If a lab in Ukraine screens for tuberculosis is that a "biolab"? or a lab in the Congo serotyping Ebola, is that a "biolab"?
NO real info just accusations. Like every Trump partisan
@SullyCNBC Great article on why data center in space is 10x more expensive than terrestrial.

also the bandwith to earth problem. There isn't any
@DefiWimar I think the SPCX IPO is based on nonsense. Mars and moon colonies are ridiculous. I think data centers in space, a main pillar of it's valuation is fundamentally flawed. I asked if someone with IT or EE background to comment on my last post
SpaceX is about to IPO at a price that represents 90 times revenue, that's not earnings since, together with xAi it runs a loss. This seemingly insane valuation is justified by envisioning data centers in space. Elon Musk in a interview with Dimon explained how it would work.
1/2 the data centers would laser the data to Starlink satellites who would transmit the data to earth. But Starlink satellites transmit at only 180 to 220 Megabytes per second. Your WiFi 7 does 46 Gps. Bundles of fiber from data centers must carry terabytes.
I think data
