IF CLAUDE/AI IS SO USEFUL, WHY ARENT PNLS GOING UP?
I just made an important point on the @smbcapital call. You can’t go a day without reading tweets about traders using Claude. For 6 months now, Claude has been the talk of many trader calls. Yet from what I’ve seen, it’s not translating to pnl for most traders.
Why?
Because almost always, more data and information is NOT the constraint. The traders that outperformed in April did so because of their systems and execution.
It isn’t that Claude and AI shouldn’t be used or isn’t at all useful. But AI and Claude can become a distraction AWAY from the actions and changes that actually matter and translate into PNL.
If I were a betting man, Claude might have improved workflows for traders, but net, it has probably reduced trader pnl through distraction away from what matters.
India does not have an unemployment crisis. India has an unemployability crisis. The reality no one wants to say because it will hurt sentiments. I say this as a man who ran a business where I hired people for two decades.
They'll be the ones that understand how consumers make decisions in an increasingly value-conscious world.
That's where the real competitive advantage lies.
Performance marketing is no longer just about media buying.
It's about understanding consumer psychology, timing, pricing, creative, and distribution—all working together.
The brands that win over the next few years won't necessarily be the ones with the biggest budgets.
There are brands who have raised 3X capital we have and are at half our revenue.
Am I fucking stupid or are others fucking stupid!
What am I missing here?
Everyone who knows they have great potential, but haven't been able to live upto it yet. I hope you keep going and find a moment in your life like Sanju Samson.
