Most people donโt fail because theyโre not capable. They fail because fear convinces them not to try and not to commit.
What you want doesn't matter.
All that matters is what you are willing to work for and commit to.
Are you willing to work without a guarantee of success?
"Your job as a coach is to coach your players.
If their parents and their friends are getting mad because you're getting yelled at, get better parents and better friends."
Coaches aren't calling you out.
They're calling you up!
Build connections so they hear the corrections.

The best player on a team isnโt always the player who scores the most. Sometimes itโs the player who has a high IQ or a diverse/versatile skill set or a player who is unselfish & coachable or who knows their role inside & out. Basing โgoodโ only on points scored is a big mistake!
High school basketball success comes down to one word: accountability.
Players hold each other accountable for their effort.
Coaches hold players accountable for their habits.
If no one is afraid of being called out respectfully, you've got something special brewing.
As a coach, your job is to help your players do these 5 things:
1. Improve their skills and accomplish success.
2. Become leaders and great teammates.
3. Grow their passion for the game.
4. Build character and gain life skills.
5. Take care of their mental and physical health.
