Why do I still rep a Degod?

Because the tenacity of @frankdegods, the team, and the @DeGodsNFT community has never stopped inspiring me.

Every hardship the project has experienced the past two years has been faced head on with a determination and confidence that I’ve never seen elsewhere.

There’s always another path to take or option to try out/pivot to. And always with a firm belief that they are capable of accomplishing it.

In my own life, this past year and a half especially, I’ve needed that inspiration more than ever.

I became physically disabled in April of 2022.
I had to close down 90% of my small business operations by July 2022 due to the constant pain I was in.

~8 doctors, 2 mris, one CT scan, 3 steroid injections later, and ~1.5 years of physical therapy later….

I’m still lacking an answer or solutions and trying to get through it.
Minimal improvement.

But I know I’m capable of getting through this.
I will keep pivoting and trying until I do.

Next pivot (besides the continued efforts on the medical side):

Getting my B.S. in comp sci to lead to work that matches my current physical req’s.

Last month I finished 8 college courses and got ~30 transfer credits ahead of time.

I start officially at WGU University on Dec. 1st.
(They allow for accelerated self pace learning through competency based education, and it’s a legitimate accredited university.)

I will be completing my remaining 26 college courses in 6 months and will have my degree by June 2024.

Whatever life throws my way, I’m facing it head first with confidence.

Through @DeGodsNFT, @frankdegods, and the community, I’ve truly learned that there’s no other way I’d rather do it besides that.

Im sorry I’ve been MIA, but life keeps sending me more important things to do than be active here.
But that doesn’t mean I’m leaving.
I’m just incubating 🤝

But tbh, I’ve been at my mothers hospital ICU bedside for the past 8 hours after a sudden need & a last minute flight and Im writing this now because I needed a distraction for a bit.

Chances aren’t great, but things have at least stabilized for now.

Bitcoin Core speaks a few different protocols:

- P2P
- JSON-RPC API
- REST
- Zeromq

The choice of ways to interact with a Bitcoin Core node can be confusing, and there are a bunch of tradeoffs between the different interfaces, and they all have to be maintained separately.

I think perhaps, if we were to start over, the P2P interface could be used for everything. It's binary, fast, gets the most developer attention, is the one interface which couldn't be subsumed by another, and its implementation doesn't require any extra dependencies.

It's for use with untrusted connections, but it could have an auth'd mode, which supported things like wallet commands, and fetching arbitrary transactions when the transaction index is enabled.
