On This Day in 1983 @DerbyshireCCC began a three day game against Yorkshire at Sheffield which they won by 22 runs.

Ole Mortensen (11) and Dallas Moir (9) took all 20 Yorkshire wickets between them.

It was Derbyshire's first win against Yorkshire since 1957, a wait of 50 matches...and Bob Taylor was ready with the Champagne he’d been keeping on ice (or, on hold) for several years to celebrate the occasion…
