BREAKING: Republicans enter panic mode as a new CNN poll reveals that 60% of Americans who watched his State of the Union address had a positive reaction while 35% of them reacted "very positively."
In these hyper-polarized times, that's astonishing...
But it gets even better. According to the same poll, 62% of Americans who watched the speech believe that the policies Biden proposed will move American forward. 38%, which largely means the MAGA Base, disagreed.
Before the speech, only 45% of people polled supported Biden's policies. The address was a stunning success and has clearly had a huge impact on Biden's popularity.
60% of Americans polled now have confidence that Biden can protect American democracy. 59% have confidence in his overall ability to carry out his presidential duties.
Crucially, the State of the Union was a resounding success with independents. Before the speech, only 51% expressed some confidence in Biden's abilities to carry out his duties. After the speech, that number shot up to 68%.
If these people vote for Biden in November, he'll win in a landslide.
Please retweet and ❤️ if you think that Biden crushed it — and consider joining the growing exodus to Tribel, a new pro-democracy social network that is exploding in popularity because Twitter and Facebook are trying to stop its growth — which is only making Tribel grow even faster. Now is the time for the leadership of our institutions to provide concrete action. I call on the @IStructE@ICE_engineers@RIBA @ARBUK1997 @theCIOB and others to offer precise implementation on every organisation’s action plan to combat racism and inequality. (7/7)
As one of the founding partners of @akt_ii who is black, I have spent the last three weeks in sheer anger and have needed time to process my thoughts, after witnessing the murder of #GeorgeFloyd; a harrowing representation of racism and injustice and its global effect. (1/7)
An environment for dialogue and action is needed. The design and construction industry have showcased support and solidarity for #BlackLivesMatter in the past weeks, which has been overwhelming and moving. (6/7)
@IanWright0 Tiredness is now our daily, weekly and yearly existence. Streets to boardrooms are littered with the same dehumanisation of black people. From our colour to our intelligence. No one would allow a animal to be strangle on the streets without intervention. Shame on the human race.
It is with great sadness that we let everyone know we have lost a member of our staff to coronavirus. Please expand the image for our full message. We urge everyone to follow government guidelines and #StayAtHomeSaveLives
It was a fantastic project to create structurally with Thomas and Stuart at Heatherwick Studio. Steven Ross from the first meeting I was at was clear about the ambition for the space Thomas and his team have delivered.
