@shannonrwatts This guy clearly knows his audience well, choosing a “she’s one of the good ones” speech over a “racism is bad” speech cause he knows the latter would get him run out of the state
It really needs to be emphasized that Trump isn't just the most corrupt president we've ever had (and there's no close second), he's also the most corrupt leader in any modern democracy. This really isn't something you see in the first world.
ICE took a 31 y/o Haitian asylum-seeker into custody, drove her 30 miles away to a Pittsburgh office, put an ankle monitor on her, then sent her out the front door with no way to get anywhere or contact her family.
She froze to death at a bus stop. It's now ruled a homicide.
Elon Musk held up a chainsaw, fed USAID into the wood chipper, and at least 600,00 people have already died as a result - two-thirds of them children.
History's first trillionaire.
The European mind understands it perfectly. This is what imperial decadence looks like: public institutions converted into branded spectacle, civic memory replaced by adrenaline theater, and the People’s House turned into a content backdrop for regime propaganda.
The joke is not that Europe cannot comprehend it. The joke is that America no longer recognizes what it is becoming.
It was a swaggering first-half from the #USMNT. The off-the-ball work was chef’s kiss. Lovely overloads, rotations, movement… and seemingly a competition amongst the team as to who could post the most nutmegs and backheels. So many top individual performances, but they were collectively excellent.
They smothered Paraguay’s strengths of intensity, being obstructive, and their threat on the counter in that 45.
Paraguay, remember, only conceded 10 during qualifying and didn’t lose a game by more than one goal.
They’ll definitely want to put up more of a fight
According to a new report released today by the Miami New Times, Trump threw and funded underage sex parties at his Palm Beach golf course.
The president was made aware of the pending publication 2 days ago.
Maybe now you understand why we struck Iran last night.
This is so insanely corrupt, I can’t even believe it.
More than half the donors to Trump’s $400 million White House ballroom just won over $50 billion in new federal contracts in six months.
And here’s the part that should make your blood boil.
Sixteen of these 27 donors were facing federal enforcement actions, antitrust reviews, labor cases, securities charges. Many of those cases have been quietly dropped or scaled back since Trump took office. You write a check, your legal problems disappear. That’s not a coincidence.
The White House won’t even release the full donor list. They’re hiding it on purpose, because daylight is the one thing pay-to-play can’t survive. A federal judge already ruled ballroom construction has to stop until Congress authorizes it.
Government is supposed to serve the people, not auction itself off to the highest bidder. When access goes to whoever pays the most, working families always end up paying the price.
We either end the corruption, or the corruption will end us.

Hey media
Not a Platner fan, but why is he a nonstop story and not Ken Paxton's TWENTY indictments by a GOP led-Texas legislature, securities fraud charges and his wife's filing for divorce on "biblical grounds?"
266,000 jobs under Biden:
“slowed”
“muddled expectations”
“fell short”
172,000 jobs under trump:
“upswing”
“vigorous”
“strong sign for economy”
This is the double standard Dems have had to deal with for the past 10 years.
Almost impossible to fathom that Clinton's emails received more sustained coverage than all policy, debates and Trump controversies, combined. It dominated headlines for almost a full year and a half. So when I read @samstein claim Trump corruption is now getting Clinton-level saturation coverage, I need us to understand how far off we are from that.
This is an orchestrated disinformation campaign meant to distract you from the fact that (1) the president and his family are looting government funds by the billions and (2) this administration's policies are bankrupting us, no matter how many dollars might be saved in fraud enforcement. That they also want to blame dark-skinned immigrants while they are at it only makes it more disgraceful. The Vice President is truly reprehensible.
Within one 24 hour period, Trump:
- got out of a $100 million IRS fine
- secured "immunity" from all future tax investigations for his family and friends
- created a $1.8 billion slush fund for lawbreaking supporters
- was reported for likely insider trading worth nearly $1 billion
All of the obvious things to say about this are true. It's bad. Nobody even tries to defend it. The closest thing to a defense you get is something about how "but Democrats suck" and "woke was also bad," which is not a defense, but rather a kind of moral blank check made out to the administration to give them the right to do anything.
But what I'm most curious about is whether this sort of lurid corruption creates a countermovement that successfully returns government to rule of law or whether it's establishing a norm of executive imperialism that every future administration will use to achieve its ends, which can always be justified by the moral blank check of "the other side is worse, so let us do whatever we want."
Ken Paxton literally offered a plea deal for a guy who sexually assaulted a CHILD. 60 day jail time and not on the sex offenders list. You president endorsed a Pedophile Protector.
