In an interview with the Danish newspaper Berlingske, Denmark’s former foreign minister Per Stig Møller recounts a highly compromising story about the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, Navi Pillay.
In 2008, when Denmark faced problems in Pakistan (a car bomb exploded outside the embassy) because of the Muhammad cartoons, Denmark turned to the UN - including the then High Commissioner for Human Rights, Navi Pillay.
On that occasion Pillay was completely dismissive of supporting Denmark. Her only recommendation to the foreign minister was to introduce censorship. That, she said, would prevent the problem in the future.
I find it shocking that an opponent of freedom of speech can be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
The woman who won the Nobel Peace Prize today once stood with the Tamil dead of Mullivaikkal.
On 19 May 2020, the eleventh anniversary of the genocide, Navi Pillay recorded this remembrance statement.
“I join in remembrance of the Tamil victims of the war that ended on the 18 May 2009.”
She added that some 146,000 Tamils had died “across the six decades struggle for self-determination”.
“It is important that we honour the Tamil victims and we inspire ourselves to continue their struggle for justice, freedoms and reparation.”
Today she is a Nobel Peace Laureate. Her words to Tamils in 2020 still stand.

For decades, Congress claimed to speak for India, but their words kept finding their way into enemy propaganda.
"Saffron terror" wasn't born in Islamabad. It was coined in Delhi by Congress' own Home Minister and cited by Pakistan at the UN, not once, but twice.
* 2010: Congress introduces "saffron terrorism" to India's top police chiefs
* 2013: RSS accused of running terror camps. Pakistan's think tanks cite Chidambaram as their source
* 2021: Congress leader compares Hindutva to ISIS in a book. Pakistan quotes it at the UN
* 2025: Pakistan claims 3 Rafales were downed. Congress leaders parrot the line while IAF confirms 13 enemy jets destroyed
* 2026: Congress mocks an exam task force member and IIT Madras director as a "cow urine expert"

I want to salute these officers of @GujaratPolice
They know that some foreign-funded NGO Islamovist will file a case in court in the name of human rights, but they have taken the risk.
