@ajcdeane I think they need to work very hard to make the distinction that we do want to move towards a low carbon society (nuclear is my preference) but are not willing to do it any cost. Use Texas as an example.
@ItsJamesHall@Gasino11 About £1kish inc labour. Means you can do about 49kwh of energy in a cheap window overnight or around 200ish miles of range. That will cost £3.50ish.
40mpg for 200 miles works out at about 23 litres or £34.50.
Assuming you fill up every two weeks that around £800 saving a year
@RugbyInsideLine I think if Archie McParlands' knee had not exploded he would have been in with a chance. Has been in phenomenal form since the win at the Rec around Dec/Jan.
@Pompytrunk@ClaireCoutinho But should they be paid the same? Which is the thrust of the argument. Should all jobs therefore be paid the same, regardless of effort, risk, output?
@Finumus1 It's actually a interesting alternative to a pension now, given the changes to IHT on pensions. You do not gain all of the tax relief on contributions, but draw downs are tax free and depending on age of death (under current rules) can be less punitive.
This is a sensible policy change. Hopefully will have cross party support.
Happened to me five years ago - paid for a survey, incurred legal fees and then the seller withdrew from the market wanting more money.
