This post reminds me just how shit Airbnb is and why I no longer use them.

My last experience: as we were leaving, my Mum’s dog became suddenly ill, and died later that day. No response from the owner, charged me the $150 "cleaning fee". Airbnb refunded me later, at my behest.

I message our host that we’re going to miss the check in window. There’s a fee. Weird since it’s self check in, but ok

@dosinga Maybe, but they’ve had years to make _super_ basic shit like autocomplete not suck, and they haven’t done anything. I think you’re right though, that if they _do_ make assistants useful they’ll do it well and the rest of the industry will follow.
