Small group, high diversity, deep participation, great signal - Rome's plural event @veracuranetwork Space.

Last Thursday, a small group of people gathered in San Lorenzo, Rome (at Veracura Space) as part of Plural Events, a global initiative by @hubs_network_ where ~20 cities worldwide discussed the same topic on the same day: Deliberative Democracy in Practice - Privacy, Coordination, and Collective Action

Activists, artists, energy engineers, woodworkers, crypto nomads, and local youth association leaders — from Italy, the US, Brazil, Argentina and Turkey — spent almost 3 hours doing exactly that.

We heard from Sterlin (@Logos_network) on the global governance crisis and grassroots organising, discussed @romefutureweek 's sustainability track, brainstormed actions for San Lorenzo, and tested live coordination and privacy-preserving tools: @join_agora, Dembrane and more.

Then we voted. The winner:

🍺 Drink for Good - partnering with local bars to reward waste-sorting with a free drink.

Simple, social, prototype-ready.

We're now working to launch it at Veracura next month.

Thanks to global partners Hubs Network, @web3privacy, @RadxChange, Logos and Comms Gardening, and local partners Veracura and Rome Future Week.

Outcomes will be shared across the Hubs Network and presented at Rome Future Week in September.
