@vvints44 Sure doesn’t feel like partners with all the pure hatred constantly seething from the Coug fan base since forever.
Partners when it’s convenient, mortal enemies otherwise.
Pick a lane
@NorthwestLady @BillboardChris@DrDaveRB I mean, surely if we don’t think kids are adult enough to get a permanent body modification like a tattoo before 18, or even have sex, gender reassignment should follow the same logic?
@ronschott@Avenicio Costco being goated doesn’t change that the Apple deal wasn’t enough for either of our schools, but especially yours. Is it really just salt that WSU won’t get carried by profitable schools anymore?
@Avenicio@ronschott It was a terrible deal. The subscription breakpoints were never going to be reached, evidenced by MLS sub numbers, and zero linear element would just delay the inevitable for two years. There’s no world where the Apple deal was good enough for most schools to compete nationally
@NonniL@TLOgg They aren’t completely random. Over time mutations that increase fitness are those that improve the niche of the organism in the ecosystem. Fine tuning eco system niche with smaller more specialized mutations increases as niche is established
@Tanzklaue@TLOgg Nope, the reason they become milder is because viruses much prefer our upper respiratory to spread more easily, where it’s also conveniently less dangerous for us. Viral load in nose and throat much better for spreading than deep in lungs. Why the cold is so common: good strat.
@OrcFair@TLOgg Not really true, the reason it becomes milder is it moves to upper respiratory where it is easier to spread, but also much less dangerous to humans. It’s why so many different viruses are what we know as the common cold. It’s a very good strategy for spreading.
@ErwinSpelunk @TLOgg It’s not even really the vaccinations, the vaccination strategy is unsustainable. What was important was forcing the virus to evolve along an evolutionary path that is less destructive by forcing it to optimize, ie: force it to move to upper respiratory (which is a win win)
@AlbatrossX3@TLOgg Well they are quickly being out competed by Omicron, another variant may show up sooner, but all else equal it should all but replace the other variants at the rate it spreads in a few months. The variants DO compete with each other.
