The Venezuelan regime and its foreign allies are attempting to use our historic War to the Death flag against the United States (the Empire) and in favor of their nefarious interests, not only in Venezuela but throughout the Western Hemisphere. They are using as justification the recent extraction and arraignment of Nicolás Maduro Moros before the Southern District Court of New York to answer for the commission of serious crimes against that country.

That flag was raised again by the Venezuelan resistance on March 13, 2014, at a massive rally I presided over in Caracas, and it is now a symbol of the struggle against the current tyranny; its Cuban, Russian, Chinese, and other allies; and the foreign terrorist groups that have been allowed to progressively invade the national territory for the past 27 years.

That legendary flag has been present at all the peaceful protests that the Venezuelan people have been carrying out since then, demanding their rights. She belongs to the Venezuelans who fight for freedom and should be used by liberators, not by tyrants or their henchmen.
