I’m skipping the Book Jar this time because I’m going to start re-reading The Hobbit, then to move onto The Lord of the Rings and possibly The Silmarillion.

My favorite thing when I go back to Spain is hanging out with friends I’ve know for 28 years, 18 years, 15 years. With people I haven’t seen in forever who still remember me and with whom I can spend hours talking.
Every single person at work has told me how much better I look after coming back from Spain, that I feel like a new person, that I look like a weight was lifted off my shoulders.
There’s such a strong sense of fitting there, of community and belonging, that it feels almost impossible to achieve here. Sometimes in Japan I feel like I don’t exist
My high school teacher finding out I’m home and insisting I visit the school, and every single teacher recognizing me, remembering my name and who my friends were and what subjects I liked and where I live, 13 years after I graduated.
@Ishikawa_Sachi@shiningdark666 I was meeting some friends to go to the cinema on Sunday last week and I arrived earlier because I wanted to do some shopping… ended up killing an hour and a half in a McDonald’s because I forgot shops close on Sunday
