🌐 Announcing Aleo Stack v4.7.0
A release focused on making Aleo easier to run, easier to observe, and easier to build on.
✅ View-only functions in Leo
✅ Real-time data streaming
✅ 30-50% client-side proving speedup
Let's dive in 👇
Aleo is the first blockchain to support shielded transactions on @Ledger 🛡️
For years, this gap has been an open problem.
Hardware wallets were originally built for transparent chains, not private execution.
Shielded transactions require generating zero-knowledge proofs over private state, a fundamentally different signing flow.
After working closely with Ledger to adapt their architecture this feature is now live.
Available across 7M+ devices.
Until now, hardware wallets secured keys, but not privacy. This created new risks for large holders by exposing balances and activity.
That tradeoff is gone.
"At Ledger, our foundation is built on uncompromising security. This partnership with Aleo represents a pivotal moment, merging our hardware-based security with their zero-knowledge cryptography."

Shield is live.
Built on @AleoHQ by @ProvableHQ, Shield is a self-custodial wallet for holding and moving crypto without exposing balances, counterparties, or transaction details by default.
What’s yours is yours.

$ALEO is now live on Kraken 🔒
$ALEO powers @AleoHQ, a Layer-1 blockchain using zero-knowledge proofs for private and programmable transactions.

We've launched USDCx on Aleo Testnet with @circle xReserve, a private and programmable stablecoin built for real-world use.
Your data is YOUR business. We're delivering confidential transactions and privacy. The future of finance is here. The future is private.

The future isn’t in collecting more data; it’s in needing less.
For years, the mantra in business and tech was simple: “collect everything.”
Every click, form, and transaction was captured, stored, and analyzed. Today, that approach comes with a cost: growing compliance burdens, high-risk breaches, and eroded trust.
The most valuable organizations of tomorrow won’t be those sitting on mountains of personal information. They’ll be the ones who can operate efficiently, make decisions, and maintain accountability without storing sensitive raw data.
Zero-knowledge proofs and verifiable computing make this possible. Companies can confirm identities, verify income, or prove ownership without exposing underlying details. Privacy here isn’t just protection, it’s efficiency, speed, and resilience.
Smaller attack surfaces, lighter infrastructure, faster audits.
Data minimalism isn’t a limitation. It’s evolution. It’s the pathway to sustainable, responsible growth in a world where trust is currency.
Systems like Aleo act as connective rails for this shift, enabling organizations to validate, verify, and build on-chain while keeping sensitive information private.
The question isn’t whether privacy matters.
It’s whether your systems are ready to do more with less and do it safely.
Program upgradability goes live on Mainnet Tuesday Aug 19th!
We'll be hosting a workshop on Discord the day before on 8/18 at 10:30am ET to demo how it works and answer questions. Please join us and be part of a new era of smart contracts! 📝
