According to laboratory analysts, the prevalence of the influenza virus is 28%.

Health officials in Hawaii have detected H5 bird flu in wastewater on Oahu Island.
State officials are investigating the source of the positive test in Hawaii, the only US state without any confirmed outbreaks in birds or animals.
Wastewater in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Palo Alto, Sacramento, Sunnyvale and Turlock has tested positive for H5 bird flu virus in their latest sample.

A second pig on the same farm might have been infected with H5N1 bird flu, authorities revealed, according to Stat News.
Tissue testing from the first infected pig showed that it “had virus throughout their body,” said Ryan Scholz, Oregon’s state veterinarian.

Another Friday surprise: A 2nd health worker who cared for a Missouri person who had #H5N1#birdflu got ill after the fact. Missouri only learned of this illness after he/she recovered, so no diagnostic test. Will be asked to submit blood for testing. https://t.co/mIxecXqIfk
