Democratic women made history tonight:
Abigail Spanberger will be the first female governor of Virginia.
Mikie Sherrill will be the first female Democratic governor of New Jersey.
I’m looking forward to seeing these strong, dedicated leaders deliver for their states. 🎉
D’Angelo was one of a kind. As a pioneer in neo-soul, he inspired a generation of singers, and helped shape music today. Michelle and I are thinking of his family, and all those who loved and admired him. https://t.co/Y97bD9O0E2
Spencer Cox: "Our nation is broken. We had political assassinations recently in Minnesota. We had an attempted assassination on the governor of Pennsylvania. And we had an attempted assassination on a presidential candidate and former president of the United States and now current president. Nothing I say can unite us as a country. Nothing I can say right now can fix what is broken. Nothing I can say can bring back Charlie Kirk."
PBS and NPR stations are on the verge of losing the federal funding that has helped keep them on the air for decades. Here's what will happen if lawmakers zero out the $$$... https://t.co/lt4iFSa1zC
Republican leaders just passed legislation that will rip healthcare from our families to line the pockets of the mega-rich. We should make healthcare better for everyone, not take it away.
All those who voted for this bill will be held accountable.

Lead poisoning is a scourge around the world, costing lives and billions of IQ points and yet rarely getting adequately addressed. Glad to see a new push by @PowerUSAID, @albrgr, @UNICEF and others to address it in the developing world. https://t.co/MoXEDH5WMy
One of Open Philanthropy’s goals is to collaborate more often with other funders. Today, we’re excited to announce our biggest collaboration to date – the Lead Exposure Action Fund (LEAF).
Lead exposure causes an estimated 1.5 million deaths each year. But until recently, total donor funding for the problem was only about $15 million/year – less than 1% of what goes toward other neglected health challenges like tuberculosis or malaria.
Thanks to our generous partners, LEAF will be able to allocate at least $104 million between now and 2027. We estimate this will roughly double donor funding for this issue.
