Working in the field of HIV provided me opportunities I didn’t know existed…but at the expense of so much fear, heartbreak, and loss. I will forever honor those who have been affected by HIV by being a loyal advocate, researcher, and future physician. #WorldAIDSDay
On World AIDS Day, we remember those we’ve lost to HIV/AIDS and honor those working to ensure no matter where you come from, or whom you love — you can get the care and respect you deserve.
I learned of the passing of a professor (Tom Volk) who helped mold my passion for science. Although tragic story, his attitude, quirkiness, & love of life was inspiring. Link is to a talk that me & so many of my peers at UW-LaX had the privilege of hearing https://t.co/FeIynBQqQX
