Everyone at Manchester City is devastated to learn our former manager Kevin Keegan has passed away, aged 75.

Kevin was a transformative manager who brought optimism and vibrancy to City during his four-year spell in charge.

The promotion campaign in 2001/02 will never be forgotten, and Kevin then established us once again as a top Premier League side in the years that followed.

Our thoughts are with Kevin’s family and friends at this very difficult time.

What if it was backed by policy experts from think tanks across the political spectrum, from the Adam Smith Institute to the Resolution Foundation?

The consensus is real. The question is: will anyone act on it?

The Renters Act tribunal system is *insane*.

1⃣Any rent increase can be brought to tribunal.
2⃣No rent increase can occur until tribunal decides.
3⃣Tribunals are forbidden from saying rent should be higher than the Landlord.
4⃣ There are only *34* tribunal judges in the country. For five million rental properties.

💣There is zero risk in demanding a tribunal.
💣There is no incentive to *not* take landlords to tribunal over any rent increase.
💣There is every incentive to bring any rent increase to tribunal, even if simply to clog up the system and avoid paying through delay.

🤡The bill's authors might not realise it, but they have accidentally introduced an extreme form of rent control.

The Renters' Rights Bill is about to gain Royal Assent. The Government has promised it will fix the private rental sector, but I've read through the Bill and worry that it risks harming the very renters it seeks to protect. 🧵

CCTV APPEAL | Detectives investigating a sexual assault in Seaforth are issuing CCTV images of a man who may have information to assist ongoing enquiries.

On Sunday 21 September, a woman in her 20s reported that she had been walking down Crosby Road South at around 5.45am when a man followed her. The man placed his hand across her mouth, pushed her to the floor, before she screamed and the suspect ran off towards Belgrade Road.

The man pictured is riding a bike which appears to be white in colour.

A 27-year-old man from Litherland, initially arrested on suspicion of Sexual assault, has now been released with no further action, after detectives eliminated him from the investigation.

Detective Chief Inspector Nick Suffield said: “Extensive work has been ongoing since this incident, and we continue to support the victim, who was understandably distressed to be targeted in such a way.

“I would urge anyone who knows the identity of the man pictured to come forward, as he may be of assistance.

“We would also still like to urge anyone who lives in the area to check your own, CCTV, dashcam and any doorbell devices should there be anything which helps this work. Any information could be vital, so let us make the assessment.”
