Vertimax drill for hoopers, mainly for post players catching the ball coming in from outside the arc. Using one handle of the vertimax mimics battling off the defender while going up for the ball.
@JulianLoCasto Was just talking about this to our staff/parents/athletes. We have some kids whose coaches are making them run a 2 mile or a 5 mile 🤦♂️… make it make sense
Love the plyo push-up not only for the exercise, but for a upper body power testing measurement. Just use a jump mat and get the mean of however many push-ups or the highest score
Have been seeing MASSIVE results using Kilo Strength Society’s progression of chin-ups.
Phase 1: 10 sec. eccentrics (start chin above bar): need 15 total reps over all sets to get to phase 2.
Phase 2: 10 sec. isometrics at 3 different ranges: need 12 total reps
I had asked one of my new high school senior athlete who’s commited D3 if he’s ever used a trapbar in his school training. His response, “No my coach said the hex bars are for girls, and would only let us use the straight bars”.
🤬🤬🤬
Co-worker came up with this exercise for acceleration emphasizing hip extension in the one leg compared to normal tank push. Forces you to get foot down to ground faster and creates greater horizontal push on the one leg. I thought it was pretty neat. Thoughts?
Working on top speed mechanics. Shortened the pendulum length of the recovery leg (video on the right) to increase leg speed. Also better downstroke of the arm in the video on the right. Arms help determine tempo of the sprint!
@missEmitche11 It’s not just about the weight room. Attending my athlete’s games means a lot to them. Builds great with relationships and trust with not just the athlete but the parents as well.
Can someone please explain the difference between foot and ankle pronation? I didn’t think there was a difference, but now I’m hearing there is, so I just want clarification
