Each chapter of my life has given me experience working across various areas of community and government, building relationships and navigating complex institutions. Those experiences inform how I approach public service and the work of changing Los Angeles.
Join me in building on the progress we’ve made together.
Yeah the same person who was:
- Activist in South LA
- County ER & NICU nurse
- First Black female speaker of CA Assembly
- First Black female Mayor of LA
Is the same as a serial sexual harasser @simplifiedseth
We won on Tuesday – and LA rejected Spencer Pratt and the MAGA agenda.
Next, we'll win in November! Because this is an election with a choice between whether we keep making change together or Nithya Raman who allows encampments near schools and fights against hiring more cops, yet is MIA on saving Hollywood jobs and fighting back when ICE invades LA
NEW
The campaign of LA Mayor Karen Bass is now directing its attacks against Nithya Raman as her presumed opponent in the general election.
Her campaign spokesperson, Alex Stack, just issued this statement:
“We look forward to winning a contest against an opponent who allows encampments near schools and fights against hiring more cops, yet is MIA on saving Hollywood jobs and fighting back when ICE invades LA.”
One year ago, this city was shaken. None of us could have imagined being invaded by our own federal government.
When troops descended on Los Angeles, I showed up and said what needed to be said: this will not happen in the nation's second largest city. We are still reeling, and it is so important that people be reminded - this has not ended. No matter when you arrived, why you came, or where you came from, I will always fight to protect every Angeleno.
Let’s see …
Karen Bass - first Black woman Speaker of the CA House of Representatives; Chair of the CBC; Chair of the Foreign Affairs Africa Subcommittee; short list for Joe Biden’s VP; Mayor of Los Angeles
Xavier Becerra - member of the CA legislature; Chair of the CHC; Vice Chair of the US House Democratic Caucus; member of the powerful House Ways and Means Committee; CA Attorney General; US Secty of Health and Human Services
These are ACCOMPLISHED leaders, glass ceiling breakers in their respective communities and not folks … “just hanging around.”

From Dem strategist: The purple represents every precinct in Los Angeles where Karen Bass outperformed the combined Raman/Huang vote on election night.
When you overlay this with the combined precinct map - Bass beats Raman in all of the Pratt areas
I have devoted my entire life to serving the city that I love, where I was born, and I’m going to continue to do that all the way to victory in November.
The Democratic establishment swung back in California on Tuesday.
Karen Bass advanced to a November runoff after a better-than-expected showing in early returns, while Xavier Becerra was in solid position to make the runoff in the governor’s race. https://t.co/gNXOnT4Qsq
