1. Bitcoin backed loans
2. Trading with leverage
3. Seeking yield on their bitcoin
4. Trading bitcoin for other crypto
5. Keeping bitcoin on the exchange
6. Keeping large amounts of bitcoin in a hot wallet

Avoid as many of these as possible
