@Chris_arnade Hahahaha. I already shared this with 5 people. Thank you, Chris. I know you’re just a “badly dressed white guy sitting in a McDonald’s booth” ;) but you are a steady voice of reason that comes forth from this app amongst a stream of screaming chaos.
@Chris_arnade Chris, that area is spectacular. Lake Garda (and the villages around it) are superior to Como imo. Lots of farms, old wineries, and Italians wanting to feed you and talk your ear off. ;)
@Sassafrass_84 Aren’t they currently using it? It’s just when the winds are so high they can’t use aircraft to fight it and that’s how they scoop the ocean water.
@graciefacelove The more I’m thinking about it: labor and the birthing process is f-ing hard.. it’s like climbing a damn mountain. Sucks. But it’s the journey you go through and endure for the ultimate reward. THAT is what is beautiful. Maybe that’s what you meant! :)
@graciefacelove Tbh it actually is scary. People don’t want to be in pain, I get it! I have to say the birth of my kids was not fun. I’m done having kids and very glad I don’t have to endure labor again. The reward though is 100x worth it. All the moments that come after they are born. Priceless
@Chris_arnade I remember that when we visited friends in Düsseldorf years ago. Also similar to this tiny restaurant near Alba, Italy where the waiter (the son) added up our order on the paper tablecloth. His parents were the cooks. Close to the best meal I’ve ever had.
@9mmsmg This happened to my husband a few years ago. I would find those bottles everywhere. He’s had bad allergies his whole life. He’s off it now, but this is exactly how everyone is describing.
@Chris_arnade I’ve been recommending your book to my liberal friends. One just finished and we talked about the difference in values that people hold and how it’s hard to understand outside of your economic class. It opened her eyes and she was grateful. So thank you, Chris.
