Latest from @alexaaposa: A group of Albertans are fighting hard to stop Trudeau from annexing Edmonton and turning it into a "National Urban Park" controlled by Quebec bureaucrats. https://t.co/px6G2xJc0G
Our reporter Alexa asked Danielle Smith what caused the difference between the UCP's success and the NDP's failure as evident by the documents that show Rachel Notley left the party in financial ruins.
Listen to what Smith had to say. ⬇️⬇️⬇️
@SteveRickettsSP @echipiuk Your comment about the class turning back to in person doesn’t make sense. Every class in uni went online for 2 weeks then in person. That is not the “online class” I’m talking about.
@SteveRickettsSP @echipiuk This class was online to begin with and remained an online class following the mandates. She was doing the class in her home in Edmonton.
015: Welcome to another episode of Dialogue over Division. In today's installment, we're excited to introduce @alexaaposa, a young lady who embodies the essence of proactive citizenship.
Alexa's civic journey commenced unexpectedly when she was suspended from college due to not disclosing her vaccine status. Rather than sit back passively, Alexa took matters into her own hands. She made the decision to engage civically, seizing every opportunity to attend events, talk to others and try to find some answers.
Driven by her curiosity about Edmonton's 15-minute city policies, Alexa took steps to gain clarity about the city's proposals. She organized meetups and arranged interviews with city councillors and other city officials, in an effort to gain clarity on behalf of her community.
Indeed, Alexa is a shining example of seizing opportunities and refusing to wait for others to take action. She underscores the simple truth that all it takes to be a citizen journalist is a phone and probing questions. So, let's take Alexa's example, pick up our phones, pose some tough questions, and witness the impact we can collectively make.
I look forward to witnessing Alexa's continued journey, and I hope her story inspires you to play an active role in fostering positive change within your own community.
Four fellow Albertans, Chris Carbert of Lethbridge, Chris Lysak also of Lethbridge, Anthony Olienick of Claresholm, and Jerry Morin of Olds, “the Coutts 4” were charged on February 13 and 14, 2022. They are charged with “conspiring to murder RCMP officers”. These arrests took place in conjunction with the Coutts Border Trucker Protest which was mostly against the vaccine mandates. The shock of charging four individuals with such a serious crime effectively brought the protest to a halt. Many Albertans and Canadians believe the evidence for these charges is questionable and may be “trumped up” for the very purpose of scaring the other protesters into going home; and to disassociate themselves from the “the accused terrorists”. In other words, this effectively “defused” the protest. Additionally, some feel these arrests and accusations were the contrivance Trudeau needed to justify his implementation of his Emergencies Act on February 14.
Under British Common Law all the way back to the Magna Carta in 1215, there are requirements for a “speedy trial”. Canada has the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, which states“ Any person charged with an offence has the right to be tried within a reasonable time… in a fair and public hearing by an independent and impartial tribunal.” In the Jordan Decision of 2016, the Supreme Court of Canada set new “presumptive ceilings” that provincial trials must be completed within 18 months and superior court cases must be concluded within 30 months. This is a protection against a justice system dragging out one’s case forever while the accused rots in jail. Is it possible that the Feds are keeping these Albertans locked up as long as possible to keep the official “government scare tactics” narrative going? This whole thing started with a “dangerous pandemic” that needed a life saving vaccine which turned into get it or loose your job. Out of desperation our fellow citizens began to protest, at Coutts in this case. Shortly after this plot to “murder RCMP” was announced our Prime minister invoked the “Emergency Act”. This whole scenario wreaks of money and power controlling our Prime minister , the RCMP and now the Justice system. If these 4 fellow Albertans are guilty of anything it is probably that of being suckered into entrapment by a well orchestrated plan to derail civil unrest.
