There's colors on the street
Red, white and blue
Disabled People shuffling their feet
Disabled People sleeping in the streets
But there's a warning sign
On the road ahead
There's a lot of people saying
We'd be better off with you all dead
Don't feel like Satan
But I am tothem
you’re more racist than the US without the money
you’re more classist than Europe without an upper class
you’re nationalists with no cultural exports
you’re Zionists for free
you look down on your neighbors while being broker than them
you’re third world without good food
The more people across Canada deny the federal government's lack of responsibility in this, the worse the Canadian healthcare system will become.
Ever since the 90's when feds stopped ensuring provinces adhere to healthcare & social services goals, it's been a growing issue.
“If I become disabled, I’ll just rely on the system to help me. I’ll get on SSDI and Medicare.” If you believe this, you have no idea how the system hates disabled people and does its best to make sure you don’t get any needs met. The system wants disabled people dead.
Another panic ridden day, when you wake up in terror it takes hours to calm down, nightmares, horrible memories, what I did to survive - all haunt me. So much trauma and damage done by ignorance and policitcal malice. People like Pierre Poilievre, Mark Carney, Doug Ford... All social murderers for profit. We need to end these killer polices and start preventative care, safety nets like odsp, wish, PWD, ow all need to be increased, a national basic income, a national disability insurance plan and an overhaul of the failure that is the Canadian Disabioity Benefit. This isn't a civics issue of federal vs provincial when Canadians are dying... It's a humanitarian crisis getting worse very day since I was homeless on the streets selling my body at age 18. Do better now.
The minimum wage is meant to be the lowest wage you can live on and afford housing. For everyone saying “it's not meant to be that,” yes, it is.
That's why it's called the minimum wage.
"A stronger economy for a more just society"
Meanwhile using state-sanctioned death and legislated destitution on disabled people exclusively to make that economy stronger.
That isnt just, that's eugenics.
@KPapetti For all the talk of toughness, hockey players are some of the biggest cowards when it comes to pressure
It's the only sport in the big 4 where elite players purposefully avoid the big markets
How dare larkin only give 3 teams on his list and not allow his team to get a good return for him. Could be worse tho, he could nix a trade for a superstar winger, demand to only be traded to one team who was tampering him and then say fuck you and leave for that team anyway
“toronto ran him out of town” meanwhile he was house hunting in vegas before he even became a free agent and vegas had to trade a player to avoid tampering charges
For the record: Mitch Marner’s darkest days in Toronto were playing golf at St. George’s in May while making 11 million bucks a year to not play in the playoffs.
One day he refers to himself as a “god” and the next he says they were dark days.
Funny how that works.

@FinanceCanada Don't forget about the $4.20/month maximum increase in July that the Federal government is so generously giving to the Canada Disability Benefit. 👀
July's disability increases for a maximum amount single disability recipient living alone:
Provincial (ODSP): $26/month (1.9%)
Federal (CDB): $4.20/month (2.1%)
Total: $30.20/month maximum increase...to legislated destitution.
But both will say they helped 🤡
@doubledouble416@ODSPoor Realistically it should be $2400/MO what the MAX is for the whole YEAR, is exactly what we need to be lifted out of poverty PER MONTH! Anything less than will fall short of meeting that target
