You can see what appears to be detergent in the water in the second picture.

Besides the obvious absurdity, surfactants in detergent are toxic to fish, invertebrates, algae, and other aquatic life.

They can damage the protective mucus layer on fish, irritate or destroy gills, impair oxygen uptake, and disrupt cell membranes.

This is the most powerful powerplant in North America it has a capacity of 6.8 GW and was built 1933-1942. It is old.

Below is one of 18 original Francis turbines that make up the plant. Some of them are approaching their 100th year in service. A ridiculous feat.

The vertical shafts and Francis units were produced at Newport News Shipyard, which is now the USN main naval base.

Worth remembering that if you get things right they can last a very long tim, these units are marvels, but interestingly I don’t think there is anywhere in America who could make this in 2026? It’s too big.

The 100 year old Francis runner below weighs 430 tons and is 10 meters diameter. In 2026, the largest forging size you can procure anywhere in the Americas is 130 tons

This hollowing out of industrial infrastructure has to reach an inflection point somewhere. Especially the super giant facilities that can sometimes go an entire financial year without an order.

This is something I've been talking about forever. Conservatives are especially prone to coddle their little girls. "Daddy's little princess" is a culture wrecking phenomenon, not one of "increasing her self worth" so she's treated well by the future partner she chooses.

Self worth is increased through works and successes. Success can only be won through repeated failure in demanding that both boys and girls try on their own.

Conservatives in their attempt to recognize gender differences often fail to recognize the ways in which we are the same.
Humans NEED A PURPOSE.

It's a sign of status for a man to provide enough financial security that his woman can afford to not work outside the home and manage their home life instead. When much of that is also outsourced, there's not enough for her to do. It's not a flex to provide extreme comfort and little responsibility to your wife. You're killing her slowly.

When anyone, male or female, lacks purpose, they will invent a purpose in the form of unnecessary problems.

We evolved in survival struggle. We are now experiencing virtually no struggle when it comes to basic survival and if you don't insert your own struggle in the form of various projects where the potential to fail exists, people often begin experiencing mental health issues as a result.

This is a common scenario in modernity for both men and women. We're all too coddled and it's killing us.
