We are once again seeking artists and creatives to undertake residencies at Prospect Cottage...

This unique experience is for people to develop their work without the pressure to produce results. For this round of residencies, we are particularly interested to hear from applicants with a keen interest and focus on film, filmmaking, gardening, ecology and the environment.

We are looking for people who will respond to the solitude of Prospect Cottage and be inspired by the life and work of Derek Jarman and the Dungeness landscape.

This round of residencies will cover the period from January 2024 – March 2025. Residents will be selected by the Prospect Cottage Residency Advisory Panel.

Deadline for applications: 9am on Monday 25 September 2023

Any suggestions for people (PhD in hand) who might be interested in teaching a one-off 2 hour MA-level session on queer/feminist intersections at UCL in early Feb as part of a module on sexualities? I normally teach it but can't this year. Any ideas let me know.

@SolySombrero @YaleRepUK @ManchesterUP Sure. Academic books cost a lot to produce because they're small run, so the hardback will mainly be bought by university libraries. It will be out in paperback before long and then it will be a manageable price.

@soapachu It’s exciting having such clear impact, especially at the moment. Not so much of a fan of the personal hit pieces, inc from Dowden, that then result in random disturbing people who feel they need to make their violent views known.
