As high performance staffs get bigger, communication and collaboration gets harder. How do we share and analyze data together? We have to decide what’s more important- our own pride or larger group success?🤷🏼♂️
On Veterans Day, we take time to remember & recognize those who have served & sacrificed for our country.
To @ADCalBears & all veterans, thank you.

I may be very late to the party here, but these #PowerPoint shortcuts (while in slideshow presentation mode) may be of interest to anyone else delivering online lectures and sharing their screens... #AcademicTwitter#phdchat#academiclife
#AcademicTwitter: I used to be a horrible scientific writer. I was paralyzed by writing anxiety & it took me FOREVER to write papers. Last year I published 14 scientific articles (8 first, 2 second, 2 senior-author) & 2 book chapters.
A thread⬇️on how I became more productive:
Just as one bad rep will not completely derail your season, neither will one bad meal.
Just as repetitive high quality reps will translate into improved performance, so will consistent high quality meals.
Treat each meal as an opportunity to improve health and performance
Research:
-Sit by high-performer, your performance increases by 15%
-Sit by low-performer, your performance decreases by 30%
-Sadness, happiness, anger, motivation, compassion all spread
Two lessons:
-Surround yourself wisely
-We're all in this together

Don’t wait until you’re middle-aged to pay attention to your blood pressure. At age 30, someone with hypertension is nearly 20 percent more likely to develop heart disease or stroke. #NewAmsterdam@NBCNewAmsterdam
Being aware of this IOC Position Paper on Supplements from Dr. Maughan, @EricRawsonPhD@LouiseMBurke@mackinprof etc. can make decision making related to supplements much easier - consider evidence based options, avoid ones that are not: https://t.co/LPTlzqo1f1
Really happy with this one. Would appreciate a retweet. Hope you find it useful. How to translate research findings to the sports field. https://t.co/DShkgIPAr7
Go big or go home you often end up home. Go small and consistent over a long period of time you often end up with something big.
Stress + rest = growth. Keep your easy days easy and your hard days hard.
Self awareness to evaluate tradeoffs and prioritize > perfect "balance."
